Crops

The grain operation at Harrold Family Farm concentrates on the production of high-quality barley, oats, wheat, canola and yellow peas, which are marketed through our local elevator system to domestic and export markets.

Feed grain and forage is also available to small farm customers.

A portion of the barley, oats and pea crops are used for cattle feed during winter months. Another feed crop that is produced on the farm is greenfeed, which is a mix of barley and oats that is cut and baled before the crop matures. Hay is also cut and baled during the summer for winter cattle feed.
